The building department is located in the Community Development and Public Works building at 1309 Myrtle Avenue, one block north of City Hall. Plan review and inspections services are provided by the building department.

Building permits that are applied for after February 1, 2021 shall use the 2018 Building Codes as adopted by the City of Enumclaw and Washington State, except that residential lots that are subject to a Natural Gas Development Agreement that was executed prior to February 1, 2021 may use the 2015 Building Codes.
