LaFleur first won election to the Enumclaw City Council in 2011, and was reelected in 2015, 2019, and 2023. He served as the Mayor Pro Tem from 2016 through 2021. He currently serves on the Committee on Committees (Chair), Community and Economic Committee (Chair), and the Public Works Committee. He also represents Enumclaw on the Sound Cities Association (SCA) Public Issues Committee (PIC).
